Ruffina graduates from Therapy Dog training

19mth old GCH CH Bluebonnet’s On The Rocks Ruffina CGC – ‘Ruffina’

After five weeks of intensive training, Ruffina graduated on October 13th as a Divine Canines therapy dog. Jill (owner and home) is thrilled to be part of this amazing organization! Jill is starting “shadow visits” with experienced handlers at various sites to see how the process works. After “shadow visits” Ruffina and Jill will go to the sites as a team.

On Sunday, October 28, Ruffina showed at 8am in the AKC Travis County Kennel Club

Show in Austin where she won Best of Opposite Sex before dashing off to volunteer at the Divine Canines Booth at the Texas Book Fest. A testament to breeding temperament and intensive therapy dog training, “bombproof” Ruffina didn’t miss a beat when she met the Half Price Books bookworm mascot in the parking garage before we all squeezed into a very small elevator!
