Bluebonnet Kennels is an LCA registered Kennel.
We pride ourselves in continued involvement with the AKC Parent Club - Leonberger Club of America and abide by the member practices and rules of breeding.

Wendy has served on the Breed Committee and continues to mentor others.

Wendy serves as the Performance Chairman for the Frontier Leonberger Club of the Southwest.

Temperament and Health are of utmost importance in our breeding program.
We also have a store Leos and More that helps the Leonberger Health Foundation International.

Puppies
Our breeding program attempts to obtain the highest quality health lines, as well as temperament, type, and structure. Countless hours of research are put into every breeding.
This research includes extensive checking of health lines and personal testimony to temperament. Although there are no guarantees in life, our goal is to provide our puppies with the best health lines and longevity possible from the start.
Puppies are temperament tested and structurally evaluated in order to match the puppy with it's best forever home. This is why the information gathered from the questionnaire is so important.
We welcome visitors upon appointment and if during a litter of pups, only after the puppies are 4 weeks old.
